Yr 10 HASS project. 2nd progress update.

Feedback we received

After we had published the first progress update, Xavier and I talked to some of our classmates and our teacher for some feedback on our presentation and where we need to improve to make it more interesting. The feedback we received was to look at some of the current war crimes that recently have broken the geneva conventions, Read and make a summary on the geneva conventions, finalise a presentation and compare ancient war crimes to today’s war crimes.

We have used this feedback and now have decided to have a podcast and a poster to present all our research. A podcast would help connect the audience to the facts and realisation of the dangers and gruesome treatment of war and ancient empires, a poster would easily show all our research in a fun and interesting manner to the audience.

Progress Update and what we have achiened so far

After we received our feedback we realised we needed to finalise the way we are going to present and do a little more research on some of the war crimes and how they were written, Mr Basil recommended I to do some research on the geneva conventions and some people who broke the conventions, Mr Basil also told me to include a way to say that no one in the world has properly listened to the geneva conventions and that no country is clean, The Afgan files are a good representation on how Australian special forces were in Afghanistan.

Our plan for the future

For the next three weeks, Xavier and I will be working on the podcast and a poster. For the Podcast, Xavier and I will need to type up a script, find a podcast program and book in a time on the weekend, where we are both are free so we can record our podcast and edit it if need be. For the poster, Xavier and I will need to research some pictures and make a timeline (of war crimes throughout history), and ancient empires.

Some difficulties we have found.

Some difficulties we have found was that in the absence of partners it is harder to make decisions that can impact the project very difficult and put stress on some partners. Xavier away being on camp allowed me to focus and do a lot of research, but overall I think we handled last week very well.
