Over the past few weeks during my big data and programming task, we were tasked with creating a chatbot using amazon lex and lambda (industry software). People from fire tech came in to help us make our chatbot. We started with looking at what chatbots are and we also compared the nasa and ryan air chatbot.

We used creativity brainstormed some ideas for a chatbot, like one that recommended you games. We eventually decided on a chatbot that told you top or trending netflix shows in a specific genre. My group then made a flowchart that shows how it will operate.

We then started to make our chatbot. My group used the skill of teamwork to distribute work. I was the group leader, Matthew was the lead programer, and zippy was tasked with finding images to use in the chatbot.

We communicated throughout the project to check on each others progress, this allowed us to make sure that no one was behind.

When we were making the chatbot we ran into a few errors, we used problem-solving skills to think of solutions, and when we couldn’t find one out or were worried that it would ruin our chatbot. The software was also a bit overwhelming at first and glitchy, but I was able to work my way around it.

Throughout the making of the chatbot, we used AWS Educate badges to expand our knowledge about the cloud.

Although we have not finished our chatbot, we learned about the process of making one and how to use tools that are used in the industry.
