Christmas Market

The Christmas Market was a task to create a product from an investment of $30 and only 6 weeks. We used the Design Thinking Process to form an idea of what we wanted to sell and then pitched to our teachers. We used empathy to put ourselves into our potential consumers by thinking of what they would want to buy and what makes a good Christmas present for them. We then had to use the Ideate strategy to use our research to make a list of products that would be likely to sell to our target audience. The next stage was to create our products and test them. We did this until we were happy with our product and its quality. We faced many challenges but we were successful in the end with a total of $36 profit.

Throughout the project we had to complete many tasks challenging our organisation skills. We worked in Digital ICT to create a spread sheet that would keep track of all of our expenses plus or profit. In English we created a logo and print ad which was important as it was our only way for advertising our product. The ASC Capabilities played a big part in getting all of these task completed. I noticed my strengths were in problem solving and leadership as while we were making the products we faced challenges in lack of supply.
