HASS Progress Update 2

As part of our year 10 Humanities course we are able to research a project of our own choice, and to create an outcome to showcase at a final exhibition in term 4. The topic we have chosen is, ‘How Have Ferrari Cars Evolved Over Time.’ The steps that me and Liam Miller have completed so far are our planning spreadsheet which helped us formulate our idea, our project booklet which helped us plan ahead and expand on our idea and our annotated bibliographies. We completed these tasks by being organized, self-aware, inquisitive and collaborative. Me and Liam chose these capabilities as they are the natural fit, in describing our working style. We plan to create a PowerPoint in the coming days using the sites we have collected during our annotated bibliography task and print out various pictures, posters and flyers to help maximize the amount of information received by people on presentation night.

  • Organized- It is important to be organized to complete work faster and work effectively.
  • Self aware- We need to be self aware because we need to make sure that we fulfill our separate tasks on time.
  • Inquisitive- We need to be inquisitive to find unique, interesting information that we can then re-format and use in our presentation.
  • Collaborative- Collaboration is an important aspect to working together well. We have to complete our individual tasks separately, then come together and create a satisfactory final product.

Our plan for continuing our project includes creating a stall at the presentation night, which will include a table covered in a black tablecloth with Ferrari Models and posters on the table and behind us. Liam will be bringing in the Models and I will print out flyers, posters etc. A main reason we have decided to use these hard copy materials is because our mode of presentation is not so great in presenting to multiple people at once and from the start as people are walking around. If people walk by and we are preoccupied and giving a presentation they can still come away with knowledge about the history of Ferrari by looking at our stall’s flyers and posters for themselves.
