WA Futsal Competiton

In term 1, I competed in a futsal carnival with others in year 7 at Cockburn, representing All Saints’ College. It was a one day competition as we competed against 3 other schools. The structure of this carnival was through a league game rotation and then deciding off the results on the ladder, there would be a semi-final and a final.

In the first game we lost 7-0. In the second match we pulled it together, but still lost 2-1. Coming into the third it was a must win game as we won 7-3. We finished 3rd on the ladder, so we played 2nd (the team that we lost to 2-1).

This was my favourite part of the whole carnival, what a match this game was. It was extremely close the whole game and somehow after all the nervous last man defending, we managed to win 3-2 and move on to the final. The final was against the team that we got flogged against.

We defended as hard as we could for the whole match. At half time it was 0-0. They scored 2 goals really fast and we countered them with one more, but it was too late as Tanaka hit the post in the final second as we lost 2-1.

Although we lost, I still had an awesome time. I was very proud to be a part of this carnival and had a lot of fun in it competing with my friends.

Just saying, you have mixed up the second and third games but that is okay.
