In Term 3 I did a project on Fremantle and my group, and I used these four capabilities collaboration, communication, origination, and problem-solving. When I did this project, I feel like we had some ups and downs, but we still worked as a team. When it came to the showcase I was just out there and talkative and so was the rest of my group, so I was proud of that.

ASC Capabilities

With communication, we did a lot of talking together as one group and we weren’t just sitting there quiet. An example of when we were using effective communication was when we were planning our scripts. What I did is I wrote as much as I could and then my group and I shared what we all wrote down and then we got told we just had to have a conversation so that is when stopped the scripts. We also used effective communication in the showcase because before we started, we were talking about where to stand and reminded each other what we were talking about.

Our organization was pretty good, but it could have been better. Some days we were forgetting stuff and not remembering the stuff we did the day before, but as this journey of Project Utopia, it got better and better till the point where we were remembering this and flying through all the work. Also, with our vision board, we were very organized because there was a pocket on the back for extra paper and we put all the pictures in a special order, so it was organized, and we knew where to point on the day of the showcase.

We used collaboration during every session especially when we were planning our vision board and then making because if we were quiet while we were doing the planning and making the vision board, we all would be doing our own thing instead of working together and that would have been a catastrophe. But in the end, because we all worked as a team, we completed the vision board and it turned out great.

Our problem solving was good, so when we had problems all of working together to get the problem solved, one of our problems is when the presentation finished and we started re-writing what we said in the presentation because we all wrote what we said and then sent it to Daniel to put it together, but as he did it he wrote what he wrote on his script and completely changed it and everyone in my group got angry and Astrid started arguing. But, in the end, I fixed the script, and it was what we said at the showcase.

Public Speaking

I think my group and I have pretty good public speaking and I think it really helped us in the showcase because if we weren’t good at public speaking ten the showcase would be a mess. So, i am really happy that we were all brave and wasn’t scared to talk up in front of all the parents and teachers.

At the end of it all we were so relieved that we had finished and did not have to work on it any longer.
