B. Skill Reflection

Throughout the course of this unit, I have honed a crucial and beneficial skill that promises to enhance my basketball gameplay significantly: the art of defense, encompassing the shell drill and help defense techniques. As a relatively smaller defender, mastering defensive strategies, such as trapping the attacker and skillfully positioning myself to guide them toward my teammates’ pressure points, has proven invaluable. This newfound proficiency not only empowers me to thwart adversaries effectively but also fosters a deeper understanding of teamwork. By comprehending the intricacies of help defense, I have cultivated the ability to support my teammates in diverse game situations. This skill not only fortifies my individual performance but also strengthens the collective prowess of our team, underscoring the importance of defensive prowess in elevating overall gameplay.

C. Course Reflectin

Undoubtedly, the most valuable course I undertook this semester was the strapping course. Delving into the intricacies of strapping various body parts for injury recovery and pain alleviation, particularly focusing on joints, proved immensely beneficial. As a kickboxer engaged in rigorous training sessions, I frequently experience discomfort and injuries, especially in joints. The insights gained from this course have been indispensable in providing effective support for managing these pains and injuries. The practical skills acquired have made a substantial difference in my ability to cope with the physical demands of intense training, underscoring the significance of the strapping course in enhancing my overall well-being as a dedicated kickboxer.
