Tulip Mania

I’ve experienced demand plummeting down when ooshies were extremely popular. Nicola and I even merged collections so we could get all the rare ones. They were very popular especially the glitter ones, they were limited edition. People were selling glitter ooshies on eBay for $1000! Some people even bought a full collection for $100, just be left under the bed for the rest of their lives. Ooshie’s eventually became out of stock and the demand plummeted, the end result being no one wanting Ooshies anymore.

Protecting Plantopia’s Wealth

To protect Plantopia’s wealth, we will possibly buy Amperecoin (Ali’s cryptocurrency) or propose a new currency to the bank. We need to be safe with our money and resources because we have used alot of bonemeal growing tulips, instead of expanding our farms. We should save our bonemeal and buy some resources with our tulips to build inclusive stuff.

Cool Stuff, Inclusiveness & Wealth

The current currency is WW5 is red tulips. Using red tulips, all 12 cities can purchase items from the world bank, trade, and expand their wealth. The world bank contains all the resources possible. Cities can use red tulips to buy them. Trading is also popular with tulips. Cities pay each other in tulips for resources. Plantopia made a trade with Sporty city – 64 tulips for 24 lapis lazuli. You can also make tulip farms with bonemeal. Making Tulip farms is a way to grow your wealth. Plantopia right now has 7 stacks of tulips in the Plantopia bank.

Inclusivity is a non-negotiable part of a place. Everyone should feel welcome where ever they are. An example of inclusiveness would be having different churches, or having a sports stadium, and a library. No one is the same, we all like different things. Plantopia has a swim centre and a small cafe, much different things. “the people of Plantopia agree to make Plantopia a welcoming city that welcomes anyone no matter what their religion or culture may be” – Plantopia Constitution

In Plantopia, we may not have as much money as other cities, such as MAS, but we do have cool stuff. ‘Cool Stuff’ is a big part of a city. Cool stuff attracts visitors and possible citizens. Think of a place you loved going to. There was probably tons of cool stuff there. Cool stuff can be different things for different people. For one person, cool stuff could be a library or a meditation centre. For another person, cool stuff could be Disneyland or a water park. Plantopia has lots of cool stuff. We have a waterslide, a rollercoaster, a beach with a cafe, a free restaurant and many more.

What I Enjoyed About WW5

I loved WW5 because we got to build a city that we could design ourselves. The inquiry let our imaginations run wild and we could build whatever we want. Designing Plantopia was really fun and we got to do all the important stuff like writing a constitution and designing a Parliament. Learning all about Parliament and Electricity was also very interesting. The inquiry made me more interested in our world, now when I look out the window I know what that big wood pole with the power is.

What Could Make the World Better

WW5 could be more fun if we started the economics in term 3 towards the end. If we finished all the economics we could start in early term 4, this would give us more time to expand our economics world and also our wealth. Overall the world was really fun, but I just want more time to make Plantopia the best possible city.
