HASS+ progress update 1
For the HASS+ project we are able to research a project of our own, and create an outcome to shows in a final exhibition in Term 4. the topic I got was history and have chosen the of the Korean War. So far I have completed my APA bibliography and doing some research for my topic. My enquiry question I am exploring is what created the division between the North and South Korea.
To do my research I have looked at websites, articles, videos and photos to make sure I have a wide variety of information. The Korean War was during the 1950s which created the division between the North and South Korea. This was due to the many different aspects such as the US, China and the Soviet Union. The war was named “forgotten”, but still had an impact on Korea and how it stands today.
Some capabilities I can use during this project:

- Creative
- Organised
For my final project, I have chosen to create a model of what was happening during the war, and a poster for information. Some ideas for my model is the war battlefield, what they wore and/or the food that they ate. I hope to create a visual representation of the Korean War so people can experience what it was like during those times.
The steps that I have completed so far is the APA bibliography and some research. During these 2 weeks I have developed the capability of organisation. Since I am doing this project by myself, I have a bit more work I need to complete. This means staying on task and making sure I am organised and getting work done every lesson. I made sure I completed my APA bibliography on time and before the last lesson so I am not too stressed about it. The plan for continuing the project is continuing my research, and making the final project. During this time I will also need to complete my progress update 2.

I think the detail and content you have provided in this update is very useful, and I appreciate the summary about what this project is. I think you could take out the part about the APA bibliography, though, as this is mentioned later.
For the capabilities wheel – it could be useful to give a brief description of how each of these capabilities is used within the project, near the wheel rather than where you describe your steps so far and future planning at the bottom.
I think you should include more detail within your future planning, and the timeline you have used so far – this shows the organisation and time management you need for this project.
I like the ideas you have generated for your final project, as models are useful when used correctly. In future, some detail on needed materials could be useful, and I am unsure of what information you intend on presenting on your poster – but I like the idea of making a model of the war.

I really like your idea of doing the Korean war and I like how you have explained a bit of what you will talk about. I would like to see some explanation of your capabilities you have chosen and some evidence of research.

Your post is well structed and clear. It’s great how you used a range of different types of sources to source your information. It would’ve been great to hear about how you’re planning to present your information.

The outline for your topic is well briefed and including your inquiry question was a really good idea. Including pictures was a really good visual aid. Also, what you want to create and research for your project is interesting and unique. Next time, maybe go into more detail about your capabilities and why they are needed.

I think that you have included lots of detail about your topic idea and have thought out your final product well. To improve you could have included a timeline with more specific tasks and due dates. You could have also expanded on the capabilities required for the project.
