In year ten, students get the opportunity to try out to become peer support leaders for the upcoming year eights, and fortunately, I was successful. This system is in place so the year eights are able to bond with the older students and have good relationships for when they move into their tutor group. We go through lessons with them, teaching them values and that when in need, they have support around them. I remember from when I was in year eight, really looking up to the year elevens and I hope I can be the same for these year eights, providing support and a comfortable friendly environment. In which they can flourish and learn with their peers.
