Teamwork and leadership

In week 3 last term half of our year went on a camp to Kalbarri. It was a long bus ride and once we got there we had to use teamwork to get set up for the night at the caravan park. I helped unpack the bus and then set up tents and everyone had to chip in because it was getting late and we all wanted dinner. We cooked stir fry on the Trangia and it was really good. After dinner, we used teamwork to clean up and wash the dishes so we could get to bed. The next day is showed leadership by helping sort out the food that people needed to carry to the campsite. I packed my bag and then helped other people fit all their things into their big bags. I was nominated one of the leaders for the day which meant I had to walk at the front of the group to determine the pace to make sure that no one fell behind. When we arrived at the campsite I had to empty my bag and set up my tent with Cameron and Jamie. We used teamwork and got our tents set up in a couple of minutes. Jamie and I went for a refreshing swim in the freezing cold water. After that, we repeated the dinner process and then all got ready for bed. We packed up camp the next morning and started our hike to Z bend. This took lots of teamwork because there were some areas of the hike that were rocky and dangerous. I used teamwork and leadership to help out my peers and encourage them to keep going when they wanted to give up.
