Math Sustainability Project

Our objective for our math end of year project was to create a presentation to show how maths and statistics can be persuasive in trying to improve our sustainability. Senuka, Adrian and I decided to focus on reducing our carbon dioxide emissions through electric and hybrid cars. We decided to present how maths is persuasive in three main ways, filtering data, extrapolating and developing plans. We used various formats of mathematics in our presentation such as bar chart races and excel.

Some capabilities that we used for this project include resilience as there was a lot of research and data that we needed to format and that took a lot of patience. We also collaborated really well together as a group and completed our goal and project to a good degree and were satisfied with our result.

Overall, we constructed a good argument and presentation on how mathematics can be persuasive and that all of our group enjoyed doing this project
