HASS PROGRESS REPORT: 1

As part of our Year 10 humanities course we are able to research a project of our own choice and to create an outcome to showcase at a final exhibition in Term 4. The topic we have chosen to research, is what are the effects of 9/11 now and then? We chose this topic because this year is the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks and my partner and I have both found it interesting how the world has changed and adapted since the terrible event.

So far we have chosen, referenced and summarised the sources, that will give us relevant and valued information to our project. We have also identified the capabilities that we need to use for this project.

  • Ethical: We identified our need to be ethical because we want to make sure that we don’t offend anyone with our 9/11 project.
  • Organisation: We wanted to maintain an organised work routine to make sure that we stay on schedule and don’t leave any parts of the project to the last minute.
  • Collaboration: Collaboration was another key capability we want to use to make sure we keep each other updated on our progress and ideas while splitting the work equally to ensure everything is done without double up and missing parts.

Our plan for continuing our project includes collecting all the necessary information we can gather from our research into one place. Then, based on our research, start planning out the construction of our 9/11 model, making sure that anything we plan to do is will be ethically acceptable. Also to construct our presentation on the effects of 9/11 from then to now.
