Team work at camp

Year 9 camp Kalbarri offered many opportunities to not only develop teamwork and leadership but also for us to make use of these qualities. One quality which I believe I demonstrated the most would be teamwork which we were given many opportunities to demonstrate during camp. Some examples of times when I used teamwork are, when cooking in our Trangia groups, setting up tents, and the teamwork activities we did which we\re playing volleyball with a tarp and doing friendship bracelets with someone of the opposite gender.

While I was able to showcase my teamwork abilities in one activity or another, I have decided that the one which I did so most effectively was, Doing the Friendship bracelets. The reason this activity required teamwork was because to make the Friendship bracelet’s, we had to plait 3 pieces of string multiple times and me like most boy’s having no idea what plaiting even was, had to be guided through the entire process by a girl although I did manage to do it in the end which is better that someone (Tyson). In order to do this, we also had to have the other person hold it while we plaited it.

The reason this activity required us to use teamwork was because you wold have to help each other to do the plaiting and chance’s are that you would need help doing it from the other person again. The way I demonstrated teamwork here was the ways listed above however I would also have to pay attention the entire time while the other person was talking which I believe is an important aspect of teamwork.
