As a part of year 10 HASS, the students have been tasked with research a project of our own choice in order to create an outcome/product to present in late term 4.

As a part of this project, we needed to as a group, (or individually) pick a sticky note from a table in order to choose the branch of HASS our project was meant to be about. My group (Shaurya, Cassey and me) ended up choosing on history. the next stage of this project was to decide what we wanted to actually do requiring us to bounce ideas off each other, and finally settle on an idea. After some discussion about some very differing ideas from Georgian fashion to D-day leading us to finally settle on creating a food stall selling WW2 soldiers rations. But, in order to have this ready be late term 4 there were many things that we needed to do. These tasks would include, researching, deciding what products to make, how to make a profit, how to design our stall, and eventually creating the products to sell.

what progress have we made?

doing research; this includes the annotated bibliography on 10 sources (where we wrote a short passage summarising the source/article and how it related to us) as well as watching and taking notes on a couple sources. The research/annotated bibliography was on the rations of the WW2 soldiers, how they were fed, the differences between the rations of allied soldiers and axis soldiers.

Expanding the idea of our product: this includes thinking about what products we are going to make, how we would lay out our stall and making our idea more realistic. (this would be done by thinking about how we would produce the product) essentially bring our idea to a plan.

What we plan to do is:

Looking further into the financial side: further explore what equipment we will need to buy in order to produce the product, and how much we will need to sell to make a profit and how viable that is (also how much we will sell everything for)

Designing the stall layout: this is pretty self-explanatory

making a menu: this is also self-explanatory

look further in how we would recreate the soldier rations: this would partially go under the menu, but once we decide what we want to include in the menu, then look into how we would make it, but not only how we would make it but if we would make it on the night, or if we would pre-package it (if so) how we would package the product.
