Allsaints college has a class called innovatED, which is an amazing opportunity for students to be creative and express ideas. Its essentially a program where we are challenged to solve problems and create projects designed for the purpose of helping others, or the environment. This term, as part of Innovat(ED), we were challenged to solve a problem that one of the school’s service partners was experiencing. The problem that I chose to solve was the problem Amana Living, an old person home was facing of needing to make the residents lives more interesting. As some of them don’t get visits often or have anyone to visit them, furthermore being bored.

To do this we had to brainstorm ideas and make a plan of action for what we were going to do. We then made a presentation and a prototype if we had time. After we finished this we then pitched our idea to Amana, and they actually took on some of our ideas to make the environment more fun.
