Toy Photography

For this task we had to take close up photos of toys / mini figurines, as if they were life sized

I enjoyed this task because we got to make things that could be real, seem real. I like this photo because in the foreground it is very centred (but still using the rule of thirds horizontally), and in the background uses the rule of thirds. the landscape is black and white which gives contrast to the main two subjects

Light graffiti

This task for photography was to capture an image by manipulating light and using a setting on a camera called blur.

I like this photo because of the colour change, and also the idea of the angel. We used a seperate light to shine on the model so it was not just the wings and halo, but the body as well.

Levitating photography

For this task we were told to capture photography where the subject looked like they were floating. We achieved this by changing the shutter speed significantly higher that usual

This was one of my favourite photos I took for this project. It uses the rule of thirds with the brick wall, then splits up the rest of it. The tree in the background is a good contrast and helps use the empty space. This photo is trying to capture what it would be like if you were levitating and using a drink fountain. If I were to do this task again I would have tried more photos with props. I have seen examples like people on the phone or taking a photo which seem like creative ideas.

Fast shutter speed is used when you need to capture an image frozen in one spot without blur
