In term 3, the year 7’s were tasked to write a descriptive piece about a predator stalking prey. I decided to do an ocean theme, and threw a few ideas around in my head. I settled on a hammerhead shark, and a sting ray, because I find them quite elegant creatures that could be described in many different ways. My first draft was roughly outlining what would happen at different times in the piece, it had mild description, and basic sentence structure. The second draft was more polished, and I went and added the lots more description, and added another paragraph about the predator. I named the piece Prey, and later handed it in, after I had typed it up. I really enjoyed this task, and would definitely do it again. I am really proud of myself, as a got 80% for it.
