Christmas Market

Last week, we had the Christmas Market where each group sold a product that they had made with a budget of $30. My group, consisting of myself and Mu made bookmarks out of fabric with elastic hair bands to adjust for different sizes of book. After selling out of our product, we calculated that we had made $91.64 which we were really happy with. All the profits went to the salvation army, so we felt that we were helping a good cause while designing and making our product. We had a great time selling the bookmarks, and sold the majority of our stock to teachers. We learnt that teamwork can be difficult at times, but it pays off in the end because it makes selling much easier. In the end, Mu and I became really good friends and I feel that this experience really showed what business is really like. Some consumers buy products straight away, while other take their time and consider each purchase. Without selling a product, you don’t get a feel for economics like you would if you had experienced it firsthand
