Aquaponics and Sustainable food Reflection

In my time in sustainable food and aquaponics I worked with a partner to fix up a wicking bed and get plants in there to grow. We started off by researching some plants which could be grown in a wicking bed also how to use a wicking bed. We ended up using tomatoes so we ordered them and the next week we got them and planted them. Throughout the term we had to continuously look after them checking the water level and making sure no birds ate the food.

Throughout the time we spent their I learned how to grow and look after plants. I learned how helpful worm tea was to the growth of the plants and how other animals (worms) can help with the growth.

I enjoyed hanging out with my friends and learning how to use a wicking bed. I also enjoyed showing family and friends what we did this term in aquaponics
